E Safety Meeting
Don't forget that tonight, Wednesday (17th March) - Mrs Barker and I will be holding an ‘E Safety’ evening, informing parents about the dangers of what can happen if the use of the Internet or Texts is not monitored correctly.
It will take place in the school hall and will start at 6.30pm. It should last for about an hour.
Please note that it is not an evening for children to attend (as some of the video clips shown can be distressing), although if you would like to attend, but child care is an issue on that night, please contact me as soon as possible.

New Additions to our Website...
As always - we are trying to keep our website up to date - with relevant and interesting sections to read. Here are some of the more recent changes!!

1) We've now put a link at the top of the home page so that you can easily find our up-to-date School Prospectus.

2) I'm now creating a Blog - a diary of what's going on in the school - along with photos!! There again - see the link at the top of the homepage!!

3) We've now deleted our 'Curriculum' Section as it was soon to be out of date due to the introduction of the new National Curriculum 2010. You can still view the curriculum by clicking on the following address: www.qcda.gov.uk/curriculum

A Message from the Headteacher
We seem to have one or two illnesses / viruses going around school at the moment.

The first is a sickness bug, where the children are getting headaches and upset stomachs. The best way to not pass this bug around is by making sure that hands are washed thoroughly before eating and after visiting the toilet. Please remind children to do this as often as possible.

The second is a virus called 'Slapped Cheek Syndrome'. This is a rash which appears on the face and can spread to the body. For more information about this virus, please refer to the letter I sent out to parents last week. Further copies are available from outside the school office or you can download a letter by clicking on the 'Letters Home' link on the right of this message!

Don't forget that it's Parents' Evening next week - and tour next class assembly - the Year 2 class assembly - is on Thursday the 1st April at 9.10am in the hall.

As always - this information is on our latest school newsletters which come to you every Tuesday - or can be downloaded from this website. Follow the directions at the top right of this page to download a newsletter - or you can have one e-mailed to you!!

Yours
Stephen B. Smith
